Weymouth's Big Christmas
Every Christmas, Weymouth becomes a, not so white, Winter Wonderland, with its beautiful decorations and events. That's why this year they have created a 21-day programme, from December 4th to the 31st, with all the events that will be held in Weymouth Town Centre during the holidays. Over this period, there will be many different family friendly treats, such as a real Ice Rink, Christmas markets and a special visit from Father Christmas.
I can't mention everything that will be happening in the Town Centre, however i do know that there will be a Shownight on Friday 4th of December, to kick-start the Christmas celebrations. Also on the 4th of December, Father Christmas will be arriving in Weymouth, whilst being escorted by real Reindeer, to his new Grotto in Weymouth's Cineworld. There will also be many sponsorship's and collaboration's with local businesses, such as Weymouth Pavilion, who will be creating a 'Pop-up Panto', and also Weymouth and Portland Lion's Club will be hosting the 'Christmas out loud' weekend special.
From experience, i know that, during Christmas, Weymouth becomes full of life and happiness, from the moment the Christmas lights are turned on, to the moment the New Year starts. I would 100% suggest coming down to visit during the holidays, as there will always be some form of entertainment on!
